Mohammad Zolgharnain was born in 1936 in Ghazvin, Iran. His first professional career was a principal of a grade school and then eventually onto middle school. Soon after, he moved to Tehran to graduate from a technical college where he tried his hand as a land surveyor and a civil designer. During this crisis, he lost his fortune and life long achievements; hence he escaped to France and then found his way to the United States and made his life in Arizona.
In 1981, because of his emotional unrest, it took one night to burn all of his previously written notes and poems, but his poetic thirst and lust never left him. Only later he published a couple of dozens of his newly written poems in English titled “Tropical poet.” A few years later, around 1988, he published a collection of 52 Persian poems in a book titled “Salute poverty.” Some of these poems had been published individually in Iranian media, such as; Keyhan international, Rah-e-zendagy, Aasheghaneh etc. These poems are written in different poetic styles, which simply certify the artistic potential of the poet.
