About MPEG2 Receivers:

As an international standard, MPEG-2 video (Digital Video Broadcasting - DVB) compression is technology that lets you receive many free to air channels, available exclusively to those using an MPEG-2 receiver. The result? Your neighbor without MEPG-2 won't be enjoying the FTA channels of sports, music and wild feeds. Get it all with MPEG-2.Many of the wild feeds are still available with free-to-air analog receivers. Catch the International feeds and many wild feeds without the expense of paying for a monthly programming package. This world of DX (distant signals) is an enjoyable and rewarding hobby for those who want to catch the very best.

NOTE:

MPEG-2 is not always for the average dish owner. These are exciting products, but they are a little more advanced than regular analog receivers and require extra time and patience to set up. However the benefits are well worth the effort. You will need a good satellite chart and a little extra time to set up your MPEG receiver to gain the full enjoyment of these units. The programming changes often, opening up a whole sky full of viewing opportunities. If you love the world of scanning, searching and playing with your satellite system, you can't go wrong with MPEG.

Installation:

Installation assistance is provided upon request.
Please send us an e-mail or call us (913) 302-1967 to help you install your product.

Satellite Protection Tips:

In order to protect your satellite system against any power surge, it is recommended to shut down the receiver completely when you are not planning to use the system for a while, especially at nights. You should be able to find a saftey switch on the back of the receiver. This switch is different than the stand-by button located at front of the receiver. Some models may not have the safety switch, in that case, please unplug the receiver from electricity.
